PRICING GUIDANCE
A practical starting point for each type of project.
These prices show where straightforward qualifying projects begin. Your actual quote will reflect the photos you provide, the work required, and the agreed finished outcome.
New Set Assembly
Smaller sets starting at $30
The $30 starting price is intended for smaller, straightforward sets that are complete, reasonably organized, and supported by usable instructions.
Broken or Disassembled Set Rebuilding
Smaller rebuilding projects starting at $35
For dropped, damaged, unfinished, or partially disassembled models.
Pricing depends on the amount of sorting, identification, troubleshooting, and reconstruction required. Missing-piece purchases are separate and require your approval.
Disassembly & Re-Bagging
Smaller sets starting at $35
For complete, identifiable sets being prepared for moving, storage, resale, or rebuilding later.
Set size, current condition, the requested bagging method, cleaning, and completeness verification affect the quote.
Mixed Collections & Inventory Work
Assessment-based quote
Mixed collections are divided into defined phases with an agreed priority and stopping point. Inventory verification may support another service or be quoted separately when practical.
Most projects in this category have a $40 minimum.
HOW YOUR PRICE IS DETERMINED
Two similar-looking projects may require very different amounts of work.
What I evaluate
Your quote considers:
Set size and build complexity
Current condition and degree of disassembly
Sorting and piece identification required
Sticker, Technic, mechanical, or motorized elements
Available instructions and project information
Your desired finished outcome
Cleaning, inventory, or organization requirements
Pickup, return, packing, or shipping logistics
What your quote explains
Your written quote identifies:
The recommended service or combination of services
The work included
The intended finished outcome
Important scope boundaries
The project price
Any separately identified costs
Estimated timing
The proposed pickup, return, or mail-in plan
The assessment allows the price to reflect your actual project instead of relying only on piece count.
WHAT YOUR QUOTE COVERS
The approved service price is separated from project-specific outside costs.
Included in the service quote
The service price covers the labor and handling required to complete the approved scope, including:
Project intake and documentation
Assembly, rebuilding, sorting, or organization described in the quote
Agreed progress or completion documentation
Routine handling materials
Coordination of the approved return plan
Separate when applicable
Your quote will identify additional costs that apply specifically to your project, such as:
Replacement pieces
Seller shipping and taxes for replacement orders
Work outside the original service scope
Special packing requirements
Mail-in return shipping
Applicable pickup or return costs
No replacement parts are purchased and no additional work is performed without your approval.
PICKUP, RETURN & SHIPPING
The handoff plan and any related costs are confirmed before booking.
Greater Portland Pickup & Return
Arranged pickup and return may be available around Greater Portland and nearby communities based on location, project size, and scheduling.
Your written quote will explain the proposed handoff plan and whether any pickup or return cost applies. Please do not drop off a project before the arrangements have been confirmed.
Selective Mail-In Service
Mail-in service is considered after the photo assessment. Sealed sets, securely organized single sets, and smaller projects that can be packed safely are generally the strongest candidates.
Inbound and return shipping are separate from the service price unless your quote states otherwise. Packing requirements and the return method will be confirmed before you ship anything.
HOW QUOTING WORKS
From a few photos to an approved price in four steps.
1
Send Photos
Show the entire project, any damaged or loose areas, and the set name or number when known. Tell me what you would like the finished project to be.
2
Receive an Assessment
I review the project’s condition, organization, complexity, and logistics. I may ask for additional photos or details when they are needed to define the work accurately.
3
Review the Written Quote
You receive the recommended service, approved work, important boundaries, project price, estimated timing, and proposed pickup or shipping plan.
4
Approve the Quote
Work begins only after you approve the scope and quote. If new information could change the work or price, I will pause and discuss it with you before continuing.
PRICING QUESTIONS
What to know before approving a quote.
-
No. Smaller, straightforward new-set assembly may start at $30. Smaller rebuilding and re-bagging projects may start at $35, while mixed-collection and standalone inventory work generally begins at $40. Your free photo assessment will confirm whether the project qualifies for a starting price and provide the complete written quote.
-
The $30 starting price is intended for a smaller, straightforward set that is complete, reasonably organized, and supported by usable instructions.
Larger sets, extensive sticker work, Technic or motorized elements, missing pieces, sorting, or partially completed construction may result in a higher quote.
-
Yes. Send photos and receive a recommended service and written quote before deciding whether the project fits your needs and budget. There is no commitment to book.
-
Piece count alone does not show how much organization, troubleshooting, or rebuilding a project requires. Photos help me evaluate the actual condition, identify important questions, and provide a more reliable written quote.
-
Your quote applies to the approved scope. If the project’s condition or contents differ materially from what could be determined during the assessment, I will pause and explain the proposed change.
Additional work or cost requires your approval before I continue.
-
Replacement pieces are separate unless your written quote specifically says otherwise. Missing pieces are documented, and the expected parts and ordering costs are presented for approval before anything is purchased.
-
Your quote will state the proposed handoff and return method. Applicable pickup, return, packing, or shipping costs will be identified separately before you approve the project.
-
Mixed collections are usually divided into defined phases. We agree on the first priority—such as identifying likely sets, recovering selected models, or organizing part of the collection—and establish where that phase should stop before work begins.
